(Image removed from quote.)

:badass just my first two beats cut me slack

Oh ok. I was gonna ask where you were finding these sounds but I see now that you said they're all samples.

Yeah it's all samples. I downloaded some 808 packs and other shit but lowkey i hate setting up the patterns and would rather just add them to the sequence like MP3s and tweak the sound piece by piece :yeshrug

I implore you not to do this

Tbh before long just using loops for drums is gonna be restrictive enough that you'll probably want to move on. Do whatever you're comfortable with though, all roads lead to rome. Don't abuse Soundgoodizer though :p

Oh please, bootlegging FL studio is a right of passage. My life would be different if I had never copped the cracked version of FLS back in the day. I probably would have stuck with it if I knew it was gonna get along with VSTs/rewire one day.

TBH copping any kind of audio software blind is for idiots. Outside of Native Instruments (and even then) I don't trust any company enough to buy plugins without a demo or 'test drive' before hand. I've gotten burned before and there are few feelings worse than dropping hundreds of dollars on software that sucks when you could buy a decent piece of hardware for the same price

Is it tho? I thought it was about Roc Nation because the initial rumor was that Jay helped him get out of the YM deal. But now we know it's just about "co-owning" Tidal...ie 3% of a sinking venture.

He knew he couldn't doubt it, couldn't understand it
Branded, since the first kickflip he landed
Uh, labeled a misfit, a bandit
Kakunk Kakunk Kakunk!
Old man AiA couldn't stand it so
He was banished to the park
Started in the morning wouldn't stop 'til after dark
Yea, when they said, "It's getting late in here
...so I'm sorry young man there's no skating here"

And so he kick, push, kick, push
Kick, push, kick, push

Wayne seems to genuinely enjoy skating. The Odd Future dudes genuinely skate. As does Joey Badass. The only person I'd give an L for skateboarding is Lupe, because it was such a blatant marketing gimmick/lie.

Recognize a decent amount there, and good picks too. I'm always up for listening to artists/songs I missed out on.

Use to be one of those 90s>all blowhards, which is worse cuz I'm only 23, but then my friends in college introduced me to newer artists that I liked.

Realized there's a ton of a good hip hop still getting made. Might have to go digging for it or wait for one of Des's recaps, but it's there. Not directing this at you AiA, though I bet there are artists out there today that you could fuck with.

Happy AIA is an LL fan :rejoice

I still think he's one of the best to ever do it and has gotten lost in the mix of all time greats for various reasons

LL is a GOAT who is mostly remembered for his  :yuck J-Lo duets of the late 90's till early 00's and some shitty movies. When dude is an 80's legend who remained relevant longer than most rappers.

L and Cube the same in that regards. Both were incredible in the late 80's early 90's until they started getting on camera. Then both of them chased the money. I ain't hating though, i'd do the same thing.

And L didn't have the perfect vehicle to launch himself like Cube did with Friday.

Both aren't bad in front of the camera either imo. Didn't hate that Cube in that most recent Kevin Hart picture and sometimes when I'm vegetating on the couch I'll let a NCIS:LA ep run out.

A lot of these newer rappers turned actors are awful though. Ludacris is bad, T.I. is bad.

I wouldn't call him overrated. Blackstar and Black On Both Sides are classic, near perfect records. The New Danger is whatever, haven't listened to it in ages. True Magic is underrated imo and obviously The Ecstatic is dope.

Mos is more frustrating than overrated. IE he fell in love with that scat rap shit a decade plus ago, and hasn't really returned to straight up rapping. It's like being a Miles Davis fan in the 80s and wanting him to go back to just doing jazz, I guess. The experimenting is cool but sometimes scust worthy...

Flow, lyrics...dude is unstoppable when he wants to be. Him and Common in their primes :lawd
