shit knocks. really prescient to break this up into two albums that come out back to back. he had a shitload of records, and rather than sequencing it into a double album or cutting half of it, he just put out an album of 'street' material and followed it up with an album of 'pop' material.

Reception seems good for Humble, way moreso than I which was an outright bomb. Personally I'm not really into the track, it's aite I guess but let's be reality: Q, ASAP, and a host of other rappers would have murdered that beat. Kendrick is kinda just there and even though it has some nice bars the flow just makes me not care.

It's been trending since it came out and is everywhere right now lol. Whereas i had very meh reactions immediately. Not even the same ballpark.

Humble blowing up rn. If anything I've seen some negative reactions from Kendrick stans. Hell I gave it a big "meh" when I first heard it.

Conway's verse on The Cow was def one of the best of last year. Too bad artist development/a&r shit is dead...Conway has a lot of potential and would greatly benefit from having somebody guiding his shit. The super gangsta shit is entertaining because he's a good rapper but he'd be a lot more interesting if he developed a personality on the mic besides that. Tell YOUR story, like on that verse. The emotion on that track is crazy.

Sort of like how Freddie Gibbs took that next step when he star rapping more about his life, not just the fantasy shit.
