Risen 3: Titan Lords: The graphical fidelity has Risen
Community Announcements - DG_DeepSilver
...now that we have your attention with our terrible pun, today we'd like to announce that, courtesy of a free automatic update for those who already have the game in their library, we're bringing a slew of visual enhancements to Risen 3: Titan Lords for players running the game on a 64-bit Operating System -

- Improved texture resolution for items, objects, foliage, terrain, particle effects, characters, monsters and other in-game models.
- Improved draw distance & viewing ranges
- Larger caches leading to smoother frame-rates & less LOD streaming
- The introduction of new state of the art post-process effects such as bokeh depth of field and HDR bloom
- Addition of a new physically based, more visually realistic cloud rendering technique that adds even more spectacular skies and sunsets to the dynamic day-night cycles.

For those of you yet to own Risen 3: Titan Lords, fear not: if you're running on a 64-bit OS then you'll automatically receive the 64-bit version of the game upon purchase. Due to the fact that the above improvements are only possible through the extra bandwidth switching to 64-bit affords us, those of you running on a 32-bit OS & purchasing the game will receive the original 32-bit version, which will of course update automatically should you ever move to a 64-bit OS at a future point.

In addition any DLCs that you have previously purchased (or may purchase in future) will obviously also function in the 64-bit version and all save games & previously obtained Steam achievements will also transfer from the 32-bit version to 64-bit version.

All the best!
The Risen 3: Titan Lords Team

:rejoice :lawd

I thought it was no questions asked. Oh well, still in the clear.

Yes, but if you're doing 20+ refunds in a year, they'll start to think you're attempting to game the system. Research your shit and only refund broken shit.

That's all good advice. I'm way too impulsive + Steam sales.

The thing is I haven't played a lot of games in the past 5 years and missed out on a lot when I was younger, so I'm trying to test the waters with different genres.

Love it when a game manages to surprise me and I want to try new things.

Games in my library I really liked: Hotline Miami, Metro: LL, South Park, Tomb Raider, Dishonored, Wolfenstein: New Order, Banished, Rust

Older games I really liked: Bully, MGS3, Resident Evil 4, Harvest Moon 64, Red Dead, Paper Mario, Mass Effect, Halo PC, World at War

Not a lot of RPGs, but hell, I may wind up loving Witcher 3 or Fallout: NV :yeshrug

This is what I'm working with:

Pick a game bruhs. I need some escapism right now and I'm sperging on Rocket League too much.

Ready to commit. Let's do this :gun

It's compatible with Dreamcast saves. :leon

This isn’t actually as random as it sounds! A rep from GungHo Online Entertainment, the company that published Grandia II Anniversary Edition, explained it to me:

“The VMS file format is the same file format used by the original Dreamcast console. Because the Anniversary Edition is based off the original Dreamcast code, we also write and read to the VMS save file format within the data/save file directory. This allows the player to import their own VMS save files that can be downloaded from any Dreamcast community websites like Blue Swirl.”

“Also, since Dreamcast emulators also use VMS save files, they can also bring any of their personal save files over from their emulator and continue on within the Anniversary Edition. Any Grandia II VMS save file will work. This allows the Grandia community to share VMS save files easily between their friends & fanbase regardless of platform.”

Play a game over 2 hours -> get random card drops which you can use to collect badges to increase your internet penis level or sell for a few cents.

If you buy a game that is new (read: Not on Steam sale), don't care about the badge and get your cards done in 2-7 hours on launch, you can literally sell them for $1-5 on launch.

Same with Animu titles, which hold above $.50 generally because there is a higher demand there than "trash" fodder that has thousands of cards in the economy.

It's like the stock market, you get in. Ride the "rise" (get the cards before others) and cash out (sell them) before the stock crashes (cards are flooding the market).

Regarding Animu games, there was a Groupees bundle with that Cherry Tree High game in it, and I was like pass, then I remembered trading cards, looked up the prices. Paid $1 to get the game, sold the cards for like 45 cents or more each.

EDIT: http://steamcommunity.com/market/search?q=cherry+tree+high

Still selling for 25 cents and more.

Hm, wonder if it'll be international. I was worried it they may turn out like Fallout 3 and some other games, where if you're in Germany you can only get a censored version (because you can't identify yourself as an adult on Steam). Turns out the first film was re-rated around the time Fury Road came out. It's now off the "Index" and instead FSK16, bringing it in line with its sequels. :leon
