Convenient counter programming to Bay's bombastic blockbuster - would like to catch it if I can get to a theatre playing it.

It's not out in Seattle yet. Opens on the 13th.

I don't think it's possible for Bale to star in a bad movie. So yeah, probably.

That Dragons in England movie was really bad.

REIGN OF FIRE
Yeah? It was still really bad.

I'm just interested because Herzog is obviously infatuated and passionate about this subject as it is his second film on this exact same subject in ten years. It'll be interesting to see his angle for making a cinematic production out of this versus his documentary.

Oh, I love Herzog, and his original doc was great. I'm all over this.

I didn't even realize he was in that mess. Oh well.

Probably not.

I think it is getting a wide release, my shitty London KY theatre has been playing the trailer like candy.
I hope I get a chance to see this film. I can't even afford a matinee right now.

Four or five of my friends saw it last year and all agreed it was the worst or second worst Herzog they'd seen. I'm fairly certain they'd all seen about eight or nine of his films; one had seen all of them.

If your friends are film school students, I don't care for this anecdotal evidence one bit!

Well, one of them is. They're just kind of film snobs in general. I don't think their opinions extend much past list-making, though, so maybe they aren't anyone's best bet.
