The Island is like something you watch on a lazy Sunday afternoon and there's nothing else on, so channel surf to the Sci-Fi Channel and it's playing.  And since it's not offensive and you're lazy, you sit there and watch it as you drink a cold, frosty beverage and teeter back and forth into sleepiness.

Seriously, half the movie feels like improv as Bay moved from action set piece to action set piece.
