I want to know what they added to the games aside from the 3D maps and new animation for the battle sequences. Are there any new story twists? Any new characters or robots?

Will you quit trolling? It's a legit gaming thread.

Then let us wait for legit replies.
Thanks. I'm pretty sure Lyte Edge and distantmantra picked this game up so I want to hear their impressions.

I dunno, but thanks for keeping this thread near the top so it's easy to see when they log on.

This forum moves so slow, it'll be on the front page whether I'm calling you a japafag or not.
You mean you're not posting here just to help me out? :o

You really went out of your way to earn it, man. :lol

I've contemplated picking it up, but since the anime series and OVAs were just recently licensed by Bandai Visual USA, I'm holding out hope that someone might localize the game for North America.

They were? I did not know that. Awesome!
Didn't Atlus have some kind of issues with Banpresto and now they're never gonna work together again? Who else is left to pick it up?

BV USA mentioned that Bandai Games may pick it up, which wouldn't be tough, since big Ojiisan Bandai owns Banpresto.

That would be nice. There would be no rights issues then! Whoo...I hope this happens. :D

Yeah, and if it doesn't come to NA, it's not like this game will ever be difficult to import. Hell, I'll be able to pick up a copy when we go back next Spring.
-
Let's hang together when you come back next spring, if you're in the Tokyo area. :-*
Did you play the GBA versions of the game? I finished OG1 twice and am almost finished with OG2 now...and I picked up Original Generations so I will play it eventually as well. The intro CG is awesome and the battle animations playing at all the game stores look so great...I was too tempted to pass it up. :D

My wife is not into giant robots or anime or anything like that, so we'd have to keep all that on the down low. :-*
I have both GBA games, but I've only played through OG1.

OG2 is like a gazillion times better. They re-drew all the mechs and changed the interface a little bit. The story is much, much better as well.
What do you think of Climax U.C. so far? :D

It's fun, you can tell it's running off a modified Encounters in Space/Never Ending Tomorrow engine, which makes me happy, as I fucking LOVE the Encounters in Space, particularly the sweet rail shooter sections.
-
The ground sections in Climax U.C. are actually really good, too. They move really fast and they have no camera problems.
I never played Never Ending Tomorrow...that one never came out in the US, right?

Never Ending Tomorrow came out in NA, it's a SEED game. I got it for $5 new a year ago. It's really bad.
-
But it's based off the Encounters in Space engine, right? It can't be that bad...can it?
