Maybe so.  Or maybe it's all a ruse! (http://ethanhaaswaswrong.blogspot.com/)

Didn't they mention in the trailer that they heard it was a giant lion?

I wonder how long they'll wait to show monster in the actual film? Not seeing it for the first hour or so could really build up the suspense.

Dude, a hysterical guy is running down the street as as the Statue of Liberty head comes crashing down - hardly what I'd bank on being accurate eyewitness testimony. :P

Well, from what little AICN dug up, they are working on some creature effects (internally referred to as "The Parasite"), so I imagine we'll see something.

Well, no duh. I was just thinking out loud, fucker.  :-*

That viral blog makes it sound like the gods unleashing their wrath upon Earth, maybe multiple creatures?

Eh, whatever, sounds like it could be a fun film, but I'm surprised they're looking to release it in January, and not Spring/Summer.

I think it's smart.  They generated a lot of goodwill with this teaser release and if they continue with this smart viral campaign into Blair Witch-style marketing, they'll have all of early winter to themselves.

Cloverfield was one of the best trailers I've ever seen. I'm awaiting more.

Yes, she thinks she works for Monsters Inc. to collect laughs, but they are really an evil corporation collecting screams so she has to take them down from the inside.

I am much happier this is a monster film. At first it was rumored to be some horror pic.

Monster movies in the vein of Godzilla (even to a certain extent, Jaws) is a under-used genre.

if the monster(s) is/are from the cthulhu mythos, this will easily become my #1 anticipated blockbuster. elder chaos gods versus america = UNIMAGINABLE GEOMETRIES OF AWESOME

Eh, would it be considered a blockbuster? It's coming out in January, a very anti-blockbuster month.
