Blue Dragon demo set for July 20

If you've been on the fence about Blue Dragon, then we have some good news for you. According to Dengeki Online (helpfully translated by Siliconera), an international Blue Dragon demo is slated for July 20. Weighing an impressive 1.1GB, the demo will apparently contain a whopping 2 hours of available gameplay. We hope you've grown accustomed to the English voice-overs though, as Japanese will not be an option in the demo. There may be a few different subtitle options, depending on the language settings of your Xbox. Finally, be sure to grab the demo as soon as you can, as it will fly away from Marketplace on August 3rd, giving just over three weeks to save up for the real thing.

It's gone on August 3rd? That's too bad, I won't be getting my 360 until my birthday on August 10th.

No way I'm playing the whole demo, simply because when the retail game comes out I don't want to be annoyed to shit playing the same 2 hours over again.
-
Oh god I can't wait... Game just looks so amazing!

If they're smart, they'll include an option to use the demo save data in the real game.
I need to get back to playing Blue Dragon. It's one of the few RPGs I like.
-
yeah, that would give a huuuuuge incentive to gamers to get the game when it's released
-
they should also put a game-crippling bug into the demo that corrupts your save in such a way that it isn't revealed until 30 hours into the game, forcing you to start all over

God, I remember that. Working Designs. :lol

wut game was that

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete. You could use the save from your demo on the full game. However, if you unequipped the ocarina from Alex during the demo and then continued using that save on the actual game, there was no way to finish it (you need Alex to have the ocarina during the final story sequence, and there's no way to re-equip/de-equip it during the actual game, even though you can do it during the demo).

I can't wait to see you compare Blue Dragon's nice art and texturing tricks, which make up for the typically low technical complexities of a 360 game, against the awesome technical marvel that is Final Fantasy 13 on the PS3. It'll be interesting to see how you think Blue Dragon measures up to the amazing physics, AI, scale, polys/s of FF, courtesy of the awesome powers of the Cell Broadband Engine™ (Cell/B.E.) and the Blu-ray Disc™ (BD) player.
-
uh... whatever :lol
for now, Blue Dragon is a bit disappointing in that regard, since its framerate is quite frankly, pitiful... the game slows down all the time (except in the exploration segments), even in battles with very little action going on, and many of its cutscenes and battles are plagued by terribly nagging screen tearing because either the hardware or the engine can't keep up with all the action at a stable 30 FPS... instead of doing so many ambitious cutscenes in real-time, Mistwalker should've simply added a fourth DVD to the game to do more CGI scenes encoded in VC-1
and it's NOT being improved for the US build at all :(
-
Good thing this is a turn-based RPG and none of that shit matters!
-
uh, for the cutscenes it DOES matter
you watch a super epic cutscene and then it's spoiled by screen tearing all over the place, it's so damn ridiculous, it spoils the whole ambiance
-
OMG it's out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dling it

there was a mega thunderstorm going on, I thought that the electricity was going to be off all nite and that I couldn't have been able to follow E3 and play the BD demo... thankfully it didn't last
