i can still single-credit (okay, triple-credit, cry) g-darius, but darius gaiden is being a total fuck. there's no beta-beam boss killin' technique in darius gaiden, and DAMN if these last bosses don't take HOURS to bring down.
i swear, i thought this game was easier on the saturn. do i just suck? stage i's "prickly angler" boss just fucked me up for two credits, even though his patterns were fairly predictable, and it's only getting worse from there. TIPS!

yeah, some of those later bosses are just impossible -- taito's shooters are stylish and fun, but they usually aren't balanced for one-credit play
-
TRIPLE CREDIT FTW
:punch
What's your favorite Taito Legends 2 games Drinky

gekrinden is kinda awful, though. it looks good, but there's something wacky about the hitbox in the ps2 port in legends 2. also, talk about gimped firepower!
-
I prefer G over Gaiden. I'm just a sucker for absorbing enemies and the Beta beam shit. There is NOTHING better than two beams going head to head like a KAMEHAMEHA in a shmup. G-Darius is glorious.
Gekrinden is okay. Nothing great. I like Metal Black and Gun Frontier.
-
you so did not triple credit darius gaiden, himumu.
i dunno, i like space invaders dx and elevator action returns, and g-darius has always been a personal favorite. probably one of those three. kiki kai kai is a classic, too. i kinda like insector x for some odd reason.
awful games are: arabian magic (wtf), violence fight (lol), and nastar warrior. bonze adventure is okay, but it's not a patch on any of the makaimura games it so inexpertly apes. nastar warrior is so sub-rastan it isn't even funny.
-
no no i mean i always triple credit because i'm a pansy. I can't single credit nada yet except Space Invaders 95, majority G Darius, and Ray Storm - but I own G Darius and Storm on the psx so I've had lot o' practice.
Bust A Move Again is boring. Lack of music zzz
Don't know why we didn't get Puzzle Bobble 2 instead
-
I thought Arabian Magic was OK actually... a bit easy but it played fairly smoothly, reminded me of the Ninja Turtles arcade game. Yeah, Nastar Warrior was a total disappointment since I liked the original Rastan.
