When did Simpsons go bad (at least to you)?
I say the last extremely high quality season was season 6 (ended with the who shot mr. burns cliff hanger). It was downhill after that with the continuation of the cliffhanger in season 7 through season 8 with season 8 being the last watchable season.

Season 6 end of an era.

I think I liked up to season 9. Not sure though.

I liked the 200th episode, but somewhere after that it just became a parody of itself.

That was the 9th season I think, it was mostly painful. Season 8 was filled with meh stuff but it had some quality episodes (Mr. Sparkle, X-Files one, Itchy, Scratchy & Poochie)

What season had the one where Homer went into some 3d dimension

google says "Treehouse of Horror VI" so I am thinking season 6 based on VI lol.

I don't think it ever got bad, I just think it stopped being great.
Sure, there's been a 90% increase in cheap slapstick, and the plots have gotten increasingly farfetched. But its still an entertaining show. Really now, there's much worse things out there to decry then the last ten years of The Simpsons.

Season 9/10... somewhere around there.

I can't remember.

Saddlesore Galatica was just awful. The show has only been occasionaly funny since.

The season with "Tomacco" in it. It was a wildly uneven season ... I think by the 10th episode I quit watching. That was around 1998'ish.

Haha I read that before.
Is jury duty so bad? I've always wanted to get called for it. Seriously.

I just hate that when I watch reruns now there is a better chance that it will be a lame episode than a good one. the lame episodes finally outnumbered the good ones.
