Title: Guacafags! Good Mexican restaurants in Japan

As we all know, decent Mexican food is hard to find in Tokyo...

Do any of the Japan based Guacafags have any recommendations? A gang of us are looking for something authentic and need some recommendations.

the only places I ever found were Junk and the El Torito at the hotel in Shinjuku...Junk is better.

there's a reason I made people bring me cans of Ro-Tel tomatoes as passage when they visited from the U.S.: the only way to get good mexican food was to cook it your goddamned self.

I hear dcharlie gets drunk and goes looking for Mexicans to beat up whenever he's in Tokyo.  Last time he was here, he beat the shit out of a group of Peruvian nuns.  Crazy racist fuck.

The Japanese are food connoisseurs.  Why would they want a crap cuisine like Mexican food?

it was an honest mistake .... I was told you were a dress wearing mexican virgin - and i thought one of them might be you.

I'm just giving people the heads-up so they know the real reason you want to find out about "authentic Mexican restaurants."

There's a thread on this at Tokyopia...

I asked the same question there and ended up going to La Jolla in Hiroo.  It was pretty damn good, and they even had special dishes like "Tako Tacos."   :)  The only negative was that we were the only ones eating there for a while, and all of the five-six people working in this small restaurant kept staring at us, particularly this one Spanish guy that would not stop glaring at me the entire time we were in the place.  But fuck it, the food was good.   :lol

El Torito isn't too bad either...that's the only Mexican restaurant here in Kanazawa.  They recently changed the menu and added more food, including burritos FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was this nice little place we went to in Osaka, but I forgot the name and location.   ???
