Gabriel Knight? Dragon's lair?
I haven't really played them but they should probably be included for the sake of completion.

Do Shadowgate and Deja Vu count?
-
Add S&M Season 1 please.

Do Shadowgate and Deja Vu count?
Shadowgate sure, but only because it was a Mac game first. No Nintendo shit in this thread. Deja Vu sucked, though, despite also being a Mac game.
-
Bladerunner plz
-
Shivers and Scratches are two of my favorites
-
That's because Myst sucked, Rygar. :/
-
I could never for the life of me get into Myst. I tried and tried because omg so pretty but something about it never clicked.
I never liked it, but it sold a zillion copies so I figured it at least earns its representation.

I voted for Space Quest just because of my memories and history with that series. I got Space Quest 6 when it came out in 95 (I was about 11 years old at the time) And I played it EVERY DAY for 8 months until I completed it. This was before everybody had the internet so I had absolutely NO help from tips or guides. Holy shit there was some complex puzzles up in that bitch. Space Quest 2 took a 6 month weekend battle on my friends Macintosh classic, again, no help from walkthroughs.
Full Throttle, Sam and Max and Day of the Tentacle are close runners up

Shivers is a Sierra game, how come it's in the shit option? And Scratches is good.
Nancy Drew, ok. That's a guilty thing. They announced the newest one at E3 recently!

I voted for Maniac Mansion because I found it to be so incredibly innovative, since you could choose which team to bring to the mansion and solve puzzles in so many different ways depending on the talents each character brought to the table. So awesome.
I have a copy of the NES version before they removed the hamster-in-the-microwave gag.
-
I voted Blade Runner. One of the last great PC adventure games.
Anyone else using SCUMMvm for PSP? Installed it this week and have been playing Fate of Atlanties (talkie!) on it.
-
Does anyone remember the Star Trek graphic adventure from...Interplay, I think it was? The CD version actually had the voices of all three main cast members (DeForrest Kelley, Leonard Nimoy, and The Shat himself). The game was based on the old TV show and was split up into several episodes. One of them even featured Harry Mudd! The game's puzzles had several different solutions and you were (of course) rewarded with a better rating at the end of each episode if you were able to do things with a minimum of violence/destruction. It was really a very nice game.
EDIT: Found the box on Wikipedia.

Joke post: What, no Night Trap?
Zak McKraken >>> Maniac Mansion (Zak's endgame sucks but it is far funnier)
I had a tough choice between Monkey Island and Space Quest .. I went with Space Quest because it had 3 or 4 excellent games in the series. As an aside, I wish these types of games were still popular in the West and someone would do a remake of Neuromancer .. it's unplayable now, but would be a blast to introduce to a new generation.

Oh yeah I just remembered: The Dig.
that was cool
-
Oh yeah, Snatcher needs to be added too.
