I want Persona 3. That's all I really need. How 'bout you, toots?

The PS2 version is actually OG1 and OG2 combined, but SRW OG Gaiden was announced today for Japan. And don't fret! Both Atlus and Bandai Visual USA have both hinted at the possibility of it hitting North American store shelves!

:o :o :o

I've never played one of these games. But I want to...for the giant robots.
-
Bandai Visual USA is bringing over the TV series and OVA series on DVD, and mentioned that their games division (Bandai-Namco?) might consider it. Atlus USA has also come out in recent days saying they're thinking about it, too.
Too bad we'll never see NA versions of licensed SRW titles that have all our favorite anime mecha in them, but OG is still pretty damn awesome.

I thought the embarrassing Guu topic already put you in that territory
No "low-level homojapual" watches that tripe
-
why hasn't willco banned you yet

OG2 is soooooooo much better than OG1, I was impressed with OG1 until I played OG2. more mechs, better animation (much much better), more characters, the plot is even more crazy, awesome music i could go and on and on.
oh yeah Im waiting for the possible Original Generations release here.

Original Generation 1 is really good, but OG2 is even better. The mechs are more homojapually delicious, the combat flows better, you're constantly upgrading to new mechs instead of going through most of the game with the same units, the story (convoluted though it may be) is fun, the visuals receive a nice little upgrade...
And yes, as has been said, the PS2 game is called Original Generations and is actually a remake of OG1 and 2, with totally redone graphics (3D maps, all the 2D battle art has been redone and looks gorgeous), a couple of new battle systems, new story twists, and more mecha.
Some of the new mechs from OG2:

What systems are these SRT:OG games for?
-
GBA, from Atlus
-
They are really fun, Beezy. And once you get tired of the animations you can just turn them off so you can have quick little strat. game sessions when you have a little free time.
-
Okay, I'll check them out someday. I'm trying not to buy any games right now though. I've already spent over $200 on games this summer. :-\
I would download them, but playing GBA games on an emulator just doesn't feel right to me anymore. I always stop for good after an hour or two.
-
I didn't really start playing GBA games regularly till I got my DS. I never realized how much the shitty screen on the GBA and the SP detracted from my interest in playing the games...I always figured I just wasn't a portables kinda guy. How wrong I was. I just needed a machine with a good quality backlit screen.

Is there permadeath? I fucking HATE permadeath :punch :punch :punch

No permadeath.
-
not only that but if you lose, you retain all the money and levels you gain in the battle. the downside to that is that you wont get a skill point and skill points is what makes SRW.

I like perma death. In fact, I love it.
