Some of this stuff looks unused Henry Selick stop motion puppets from The Life Aquatic, particularly that last one.  I also love how deep sea photos always look like they were taken in outer-space.  It isn't so much of a stretch, really.

I'd love to go scuba-diving sometime. I know I obviously wouldn't find any deep-sea creatures, or even any mid-water ones, but still. The ocean = :bow

My reef tank fails in comparison to this.

I went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef when I was younger. Absolutely incredible experience.

And, a lot of these animals are in James Cameron's documentary Aliens of the Deep.

If you had said these were found in space they would be really interesting. But the sea? pffff

PS. It's sea creatures, not see creatures. :)

You see [with your eyes] a sea [of water].

i love this stuff.

what makes me sad is that if i showed this to any of my japanese coworkers they'd just try to figure out how to eat it.

if it swims the japanese will eat it.  / :(

bud is stealing GAF threads.  The only new thing here is the book they're releasing, The Deep.
