Title: Can someone explain to me how one uses a "proxy server"?

I'm not all that computer literate, and I'm completely clueless as to how these things work.

Why do I need one?  Well, you all know how it is.  You get banned from certain sites and what not, and you want another avenue to visit them.  Nothing sinister, but simply a way around rules.

Nah, I don't think i'd ever do anything that would warrant a ban on a board like this.  I'm usually banned from a board for simply disagreeing with people, and some childish mod not liking my opinion one too many times.

I've never been the type to post something offensive, or pornographic.  Ever.

I remember you got perm'd from gaf for getting banned and then trying to make a second account.  What did you get banned for at first?

I got banned from GAF quite some time ago.  Probably early last year.  Then, after a few months I remembered an account I had registered for a long time ago, and tried to log in under that name.  It worked, and I posted under that name briefly before one of their ninjas caught me. 

I guess the mods were too dumb to figure it out, so they thought I had registered for a new account after getting banned, and that simply was not the case.  Either way, yes I was permabanned from GAF sometime last year.



Edit:  Oh yeah, and to answer the question of why I got banned.  Basically for arguing in political threads with mods.  Serious business.  :lol
