TACOMA – The woman who recorded the highest blood alcohol level in Washington State history pleaded guilty Tuesday.

Rebecca Gail Lingbloom was sentenced to 90 days inpatient treatment, followed by 90 days electronic home monitoring for a DUI arrest in May in which her blood alcohol content was measured at  0.50 two hours after she was arrested.

"I don't ever want to be in this position again," Lingbloom told a judge.

Ann Marie Gordon, manager of the lab in Seattle, said the reading -- more than six times the legal limit of 0.08 -- tied the highest level ever found by technicians at the patrol's lab. A King County driver also registered 0.50 on a blood test in 2000, Gordon said.

"It certainly would kill many people," she said.

The average blood-alcohol content of drunken drivers stopped in Washington is about 0.15, Gordon added.

Authorities contended in an affidavit that Lingbloom, 45, nearly hit a pedestrian May 10 and was seen swerving all over the road.

A Pierce County sheriff's deputy later found her passed out behind the wheel of her car in the Summit area, the affidavit states.

Lingbloom was arrested for investigation of drunken driving twice in the 1990's.

Wow, that's pretty impressive. And the woman was arrested twice before this for driving drunk? Fucking cunt should have her license revoked permanently. What's with all the leniency we show to drunk drivers? Ugh.

I think John Bonham had a blood alcohol level of like .42 or something when he died.

I'm fairly certain that I've been about 1% or more BAC on several occasions.  Certainly when we sent a friend out at 8 am to get ANOTHER keg.

.5 is pretty extreme. IIRC when she was pulled over it was higher, she was tested two hours after being pulled over so it dropped a bit. Not sure I believe the 1.0 claim duke ;)
