First Heavenly Sword underdelivers, now Tetsuya Nomura's DS game is "style over substance."
:-\
At least we still have Lair and Too Human to look forward to! :hyper

no, thats just what I heard about the game before playing it
not my personal opinion, yet
read the gaf thread
-
Just loaded it up, and felt compelled to record and post the awesome menu music.
My mic however is lamez so imagine it without static and me turning the volume down halfway:

Ok I got through a bit...
Anyway you are some kingdom hearts lookin' dude and you are in one of those busy Japanese crosswalks,
you know the ones with the creepy music that plays when you have to cross
So you are walking along, and either you trip or someone pushes you, because you fall.
Once you get up you notice a badge of sorts in your right hand, it has a skull/heart thing in it.
It gives you the power to read some peoples minds. Suddenly you are attacked by these giant frogs with tattoos for legs.
You are forced to run away because you don't have any skill other then dashing past them atm.
Once you escape you notice a countdown on your right hand. Its counting down from 7 days. I'm assuming 7 days until the character dies, because it did not look good.
So you walk around a bit wondering wtf to do and you bump into this girl. She also has some badges. She gives you some fire badge and you can now attack with fire.
of course, you get jumped by more enemies just in time to test this power out. She helps fight off the frogs with you on the top screen while you control the bottom. I set it to auto however you can control both people apparently.
---
The combat is entirely stylus/touchpad based, so its good/badish...
Maybe more soon.

yeah im no fan of stylus based controls, it might be a deal breaker.
cant read japanese to tell you if the story is any good.
although the game seems very text heavy so far.
I lika the music however.
