The new venture, Eat, Sleep, Play, will still have close ties with Sony. The Utah-based studio is under an exclusive “multi-year, multi-title” agreement to produce titles for the PlayStation brand of hardware.
Jaffe added, "In many ways, it’s like very little has changed, other than the pay cut."
I knew he was going to do something like this.

david jaffe can suck my nut

I like Jaffe but I'm tired of this "OMG I CREATED A HUGE GAME AND IT ALMOST KILLED ME SO ONLY SMALL GAMES NOW LOL" bullshit. Lots of people created even bigger games and didn't complain like this dude.

Now get cracking on bringing Heartland to the PS3!!!
I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see this game come to fruition.

Balrog is awesome, In name and spirit
Jaffe looks like as though hes a jaded, burnt out developer :-\

I couldn't agree more. I think the guy's personal problems/psyche had a lote more to do with him being burnt out, than him actually making a huge game. Lots of developers make huge games, and you don't see them acting like they almost died on the cross like Jesus.
Also, I'm tired of Jaffe and gamers talking about "Heartland". That game was a stupid political emo moment for Jaffe, and I think it never had a chance of being made. I think Jaffe knows that, and chooses to play up his poltical statements by talking about it all the time. Regardless, I think Sony heard the concept for that one, and was like "Hmm, we'll take a pass on that one buddy".

It remind me of John Romero, but Romero actually designed a game that stood the test of time.

The game sounded absolutely dreadful, but it's no surprise why GAF would like it. And yea, there's no way it would be made.
Jaffe needs to chill out. It's funny he loves jabbing at Miyamoto, who has made tons of huge games for YEARS, yet Jaffe could only manage one before jumping to the minor leagues.

Its not like God of War was that much a huge game. Its popular because it´s easy to play and it has a lot of gore, but many people could make a case that the game has very shallow and button-mashy combat system, in comparison to much better and deeper action games.
