Is Hot Fuzz only coming out in Hd-dvd and not Blu-ray? Although both formats are equivalent in quality, I would rather get the Blu-ray version because it seems less scratchable. Also, Hot Fuzz is definitely worth $30 to watch in HD, right? $30 for the Children of Men Hd-Dvd was a regrettable waste of money.

Universal is the only HD-DVD exclusive studio. So, there's no Blu-Ray release.
I'm debating whether or not to pick it up on DVD or wait in the hopes that HD-DVD fails and Universal makes the switch at some point in the future.

The 360 Hd-Dvd drive also works on a PC as long as you have a HDCP compliant monitor. In fact, I use the 360's Hd-Dvd drive with my PC more often than I use it with my 360. I think you can get the 360 drive along with King-Kong for $150-170 if you hunt around which is an excellent price for a Hd-DVD drive.

So the WalMart edition has all the features of the R2, but in an ugly package?
-
Yes
-
Well...I suppose that is the version I'll get then. :-\
-
are you mad at the package or the lack of widescreen?
-
Is there a widescreen version of the set, at least? :-\
-
I hope there is widescreen. :( I guess I'll find out tomorrow!

Both

I could ask my folks to pick me up a copy of this if there were a widescreen version available, but I'm not buying a full screen version of any movie. :-\
