ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER!!!

Too bad High Heels hasn't been released in North America... my copy of it was taped off of Showtime in the mid-90's.

Alright, what are the chances of someone else voting in this thread now?  Since there are no comic book or Michael Bay movies here, I think you may be the only person weighing in.

It's typically a battle between Almodovar and Wong Kar-Wai for me, but Pedro is a more consistent and proven director.

Volver is awesome, and earns distinction for being on Blu Ray.

And Bad Education is as close as you'll ever get to a gay Hitchcock movie.  ;)

Hmmm, I compare all male actors to how Leaud looked in his prime.  How does this Gael Garcia guy compare?

Live Flesh has at least one pretty hot sex scene and a ridiculous (but in an awesome way) story.  Watch that one.  Unfortunately Penelope Cruz's role is barely a cameo.

He was in Motorcycle Diaries, Science of Sleep, and Y Tu Mama Tambien. I'm sure you saw one of those.

But what about this hottest man on the planet that isn't Leaud?  He's not in that one!

Watch the more obscure Almodovar films first, TVC, and build up to the really famous ones like Talk To Her, Volver, All About My Mother, etc.

Track down High Heels, so you can watch a drag queen eat a out a chick while she's wrapped around his head while standing up.

Fuck you guys.  You are no help.  If you people don't come to some concensus by 9PM pacific time, I am just going to be forced to watch this here movie where Johnny Knoxville pretends to be a distinguished mentally-challenged fellow so he can get in the special olympics or whatever.  You have that on your heads, now hammer this fucker out like you're 12 angry men.

when I worked at Blockbuster, I had a guy angrily return Live Flesh because it wasn't softcore porn.

"You should mark that it ain't en english on there."
"Sir, the box says 'subtitles'."
(guy storms off with suitably sleazy fare)

I swear that actually happened.

I read the back of the box for volver and put it back on the shelf. Sounds like some Travelling Pants of the Ya Ya Sisterhood's Fried Green Tomato type movie.

Mexican directors' movies are too slow paced.  I just don't feel them a lot of the time.  They try too hard to be intellectual.  But how smart can they be, they are still Mexicans?  Pedro is not purely Mexican, but Spanish, Latino, Hispanic, etc are basically all the same.

You have hispanic people confused with women.  See

Female directors' movies are too slow paced.  I just don't feel them a lot of the time.  They try too hard to be intellectual.  But how smart can they be, they are still women?  Pedro is not purely female, but homo, etc are basically all the same.

Damn it, TVC, you might be homo but you were born from a woman too!  Can't you ever give them some respect?

Talk To Her has creepy hot-naked-coma-chick nudity and a pathetic creepmeister who represents half of GAF. But I preferred Volver overall. Mmm, Penelope.
