Well, maybe not but holy shit
WHY MUST IT FUCKEN TAKE AN HOUR TO SYNC MY SHUFFLE WHEN I ADD ONE FILE
Then it looks for my music folder, god forbid one track is out of place and it fucks up the track listing on the shuffle itself. Why are you forcing me to sync shit, I do not want this...STOP IT! ALDKSJF:LSKDJFLKSJD:LFKJLK >:(
I should have got a small, discreet Creative MP3 player instead
-
Thats a bold statement
-
yes it is.
which is why I also hate ipods with a passion.
-
I don't like iTunes and I'll never get an iPod.
-
itunes is great. I dont think you guys have experienced bad yet. WHINEY
-
iTunes wants you to buy a Mac :'(
-
Yeah, iTunes sucks ass.
Any sensible Windows user who isn't a Mac wanker taco uses Winamp.
-
I got no problem with iTunes because I own a Mac, simp

Put your iPod on manual mode. You put your songs on manually, instead of synching. I still can't figure out how to disable gapless, other than letting it start and cancelling every time.

I've really had few problems with itunes, the only one really being the playback of their tv and movies, but thats resolved. MP3 purchasing, playback, and syncing are fine. LRN TO COMPUTAR kids

On top of all the other criticisms, it's also a resource hog. What I would like to do is make a nice looking foobar, but I don't have the time to sink into customizing the damn thing.
-
I play wow with everything maxed with itunes playing, its fine :p
-
There's one really nice feature it has that i haven't found in another MP3 app -- it handles track listings as hard links to the actual track. So i can drag a track out of iTunes and into an explorer window. It's really useful for when i want to drop a few songs on a flash drive to take over to a friends house. If it weren't for the fact that my cell phone uses it, i probably wouldn't have it installed on my machine.
Since i've been playing the same folder of music for the past few weeks, i've gone back to using Billy (http://www.sheepfriends.com/?page=billy). It's a no-frills MP3 player, but it's fast and extremely light on resources.

I tend to hate apple with a passion, but you don't have to fucking auto-sync. Have you ever opened the "Options" window?? HAVE YOU?!
-
*waits for the apple fanboys to say it's the user's fault*
edit: too late :lol
-
but it obviously is. There is a fucking option to prevent that! And I fucking hate macs and ipods.
-
My Shuffle doesn't have the ability to stop Auto Sync. I think you need a full blown feature rich iPod!

the option shouldn't be in the shuffle. It should be in the preferences/options dealio in Itunes. And the option is there even if you don't have an ipod connected.
-
Just looked it up, the Shuffle doesn't support Manual Mode
Thanks Apple! :(
-
bwahahahaha so Itunes isn't the worst application ever made, the Shuffle is the worst hardware ever made. Nice.
-
Shuffle is a piece of shit.
-
all it does for me is put my music in order, and transfer it over to my iPod with a sleek interface- I think that's all I can ask for really.
-
It's fine for use with my iPod. It definitely is a resource hog though, at least compared to Winamp, so I use that if I'm going to be playing a game.
-
I love the Shuffle since its so small. I can take it jogging (which I just did). Not being able to organize the music inside and not being able to turn off syncing is pretty bad though. Hey, it was $80
/me shrugs
FUCK YOU APPLE!

Yes it does!
How do you do it? I've been nosing around the options and can't find a way to switch it over to Manual.

I don't know the app off the top of my head, but I know that I managed to do it. It might be because iTunes was already set to manual from my iPod mini, and then plugging in the Shuffle retained the same settings? Can you only change the iPod settings when it's connected?
Or maybe they've removed that option with a recent update? I haven't updated in a long time.
Well, one thing I've noticed (which happened with an iTune update) is that I can order the tracks the way I want them too. Now its preset a certain way (I think through album titles). It seems like Apple actually made functionality with the shuffle more restrictive (when it comes to iTunes). Good times :(
