yeah, i have no idea why galaxy quest turned out as well as did, or why i found sigourney weaver hot in it

Someone already pointed out Allen Rickman's presence. I think it had pretty good writing too, but I haven't seen it in a few years.

And yea, this is the only flick I think Weaver is hot in, and I don't even like blondes. Way hotter than tinypanties Alien.

I like this movie a lot, too.  What with Tim Allen involved, I am surprised there has been no forced sequels to stomp the fun out of it.

i mean, i think weaver is a fuck awesome actress, and she can play a credibly tough female character without any sense of contrivance whatsoever, but i almost never found her hot -- she was like susan sarandon's sane and more interesting but less attractive sister. besides, after polanski's death and the maiden, it's kinda hard to send her to boner academy, but galaxy quest makes a good attempt!

It's also Tim Allen's only movie not about christmas in some way.  :lol
