Next week I will be taking said Comptia A+ examination and was wondering what others have thought of it.
I feel relatively prepared, and I've been studying a nice thick book with handy individual exam objectives.
I do realize its a pretty basic test. Still I would appreciate your personal experience.

is there really a future in IT these days, mupepe and his texas cronies aside?

Anyone can pass the A+, but it's pretty useless by today's standards
It basically says that you know how to plug in a video card

mupepe has taken this test :o
yeah. Took it in high school.
and yeah, I'd avoid IT. I've never actually done the work, but I heard it's hell.
My A+ certification was pretty much a waste.

It only makes good filler for a resume

I know so many peeps who have A+

Nope. I think a bunch of people assumed that because my department set up an independent server last year and it was my duty to set it up so I made a bunch of threads asking for help on it.
