Post by: ZombieSupaStar on August 03, 2007, 10:30:25 PM: i just tried the http://www.doomsdayhq.com sourceport of doom using the steam dl and it works, so it looks like sourceports that add mouselook (or 3d models, etc) will work with steam versions.

Post by: jiji on August 04, 2007, 01:47:45 AM: You can aim fine with the mouse in Doom, Heretic, Hexen, etc. You just can't look up or down with the mouse (in the original engines). The game auto-aims up or down for you, duh.

Prey is already on there (and it is a decent game so fuck y'all. I think it is like 20 bucks which is a good price for it). I am sure 3D Realms thinks that Duke Nukem is worth more than it actually is, and won't make a deal Valve considers fair for the rights to distribute them. Take 2 has games on Steam, so Max Payne will eventually be on there. . .I'd expect them to show up whenever Max Payne 3 does.

As for the old Apogess shareware shit, some of it is availble for free on 3D Realms website. Yes, MAF, you can be playing the shareware Rise of the the Triad right now. You will need dosbox, probably.
