Title: Evilbore Movie Whores Name Me Some Good Espionage/Spy Movies
Post by: Gay Boy on August 04, 2007, 01:47:46 PM
After watching all 3 Bourne movies this week I have been in the mood for more espionage or spy films. I can't think of any other than Bond and Mission Impossible flicks. Is there anything else decent in this genre?

I remember someone saying it was good but it seemed like in a negative connotation, IE "De Niro's last good movie..." which didn't sound too appealing. De Niro :'(

Highly kickass spy pic about a Mossad and CIA agent training an average dude to stop a terrorist because of his unique properties. It sounds generic, but really, its pretty dang awesome.
(http://g-ec2.images-amazon.com/images/I/41H4CEVPBNL._SS500_.jpg) Pretty ace thriller about South Korean agents tracking an unknown North Korean assassin. Very slickly directed, and its cool to see Oldboy and that chick from Lost acting all normal and shit.
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/29/Telefon_1977_movie_poster.jpg) Somebody's been activating sleeper suicide bombers in America, its up to your prototypical KGB man, Charles Bronson (?), to stop him. Its very, very 70's-ish, but its also a good bit of fun, and if you can't appreicate a solid Charles Bronson film, I'd rather not associate with you.
and everybody here has seen Spies Like Us, right? Its one of the very few Chevy Chase movies that can be safely recommended. Good stuff that.
