I can't fathom purchasing one of these books unless you're a crazy fan. I mean, almost all books licensed out from a popular sci-fi IP reads like glorified fan fiction. It's hardest genre to write, but contains the most amount of shitty authors.

Eric Nylund writes some great starship battles, the ground stuff isnt as good, but the added character depth to the series is nice. In short, don't be a snob Willco, you gave Transformers a B+
