Nice viewing. Thanks for posting. FF6 is still my favorite game of all time. I actually still have an LLG file on my GBA copy.
-
Years later and I still enjoy the music.

Fuuuuck, I need to reinstall Vista to hear sound
Fuuuuuck!
/me gets his install disk out
What is this for again? FFVI for the DS? Fuuuuck, I need to buy a DS now? Fuuuuck

I like FFVI, but it's far from being my favorite FF ever. I like FFVII best, followed by FFIX and FFX. I probably like FFIV more than FFVI, but FFIV is the very first RPG I ever played and have a lot of great memories for the game.

It's on the snes, psx, and gba... And it's a retrospective on the FF series.

One of the best stories ever in a game... so ahead of its time in terms of story/characterization/presentation. But I think the gameplay left quite a lot to be desired, especially after the sublime FF5.
-
The gameplay was great imo. I liked how every character was unique and had his/her's own characteristics. Alos, the dungeons are my favorite dungeons in the series. The whole split your party up puzzles are genius. The sidequests are - and this is debatable - the best in the series.
In the area of gameplay, VI has a lot going for it.

Did you finish it LLG? I tried but I couldn't get past the opera house. I couldn't get the timing of the rats down.
-
grinding all my characters to level 99 (in the dinosaur area) with double EXP ring was classic. so many memories w/ that game.
-
Is it true that there's going to be a DS version of this, like with FFIV? I really want to play this but if there's a DS version I'll wait
-
That has been no confirmation on the ds version, and you would have to be a fool to pass up on glorious snes 2d at its best for shitty ds 3d
-
K. I played FFIV on the GBA and loved it; the graphics were never a problem to me at least
-
FFIV's graphics pale in comparison to FFVI's. In fact, I suggest you watch that video I linked. It barely has any spoilers, and the ones that are spoilers, you'll likely forget before you play FFVI.
-
IV is like a hint of what VI was going to bring–as great as IV is, VI is everything IV was and moreso.
VI is my favorite plot Final Fantasy, V is my favorite job-system Final Fantasy. If you play those both, you could probably stop there.
-
I wouldn't go that far, Brand. Almost every FF brings something interesting to the table.
-
true, but they should have stuck w/ the unique gameplay of VI for a few iterations. i would have been much more interested in the latter of the series if they did. FFVII was a bore to me.
-
FFVII had a few good dungeons in the FFVI vein, like climbing the mountain. And um...shit.
FFVIII had the awesome final dungeon which was a throw back to FFVI dungeons, and FFX's dungeons were nothing but puzzle based, so that was good.
