Horrible thing Japan had to go through but it was the right thing. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were the 100% correct course of action for Truman to take. Japan was not going to surrender unless something drastic happened, which was the bomb. The bomb while devestating saved many american lives.
-
Sounds awful, but it also saved Japanese lives.
-
It did, MAF, you're absolutely right. If you ever get a chance, visiting the a-dome, peace park and museum in Hiroshima is totally worth it.

And American lives. Chances are many people in the US wouldn't have a granddad if the bomb wasn't dropped.
RIP :(

Indeed it did. It's horrible to imagine how long that war would have gone on if it was continued to be fought by "traditional" means. Which is why it is so absurd when you see people at gaf say it wasn't worth it (mainly due to love of Japanese culture). The atomic bomb in it's own way saved Japan.
-
You read GAF threads about Japan? :lol
I stared into that abyss once. Only once.....
IT LOOKED BACK AT ME AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh

I agree. The entire country could have been destroyed by a land attack, yet over the course of many years. People simply don't want to accept the reality that Japan would never surrender in that situation, and something "convincing" needed to be done immediately.
Boogie can say it much better than we can

I am "celebrating" by writing up a 10 page paper on the history of Japan from right after world war 2 to present.
-
The reason I hate Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that if the atomic bombings didn't happen, japafaggery and homojapuality probably wouldn't exist today. Without rebuilding help from America, Japan would be much different today, and odds are that homojapuality would not have been invented.
-
So your saying when Japafags argue against the bombings, they are in fact arguing against their own beginning? Denying their own genesis?
Yes. If there was a time travel animu made out of this premise, it would end with them, in effect, neutralizing their homojapual forefathers.
-
A bloody ground war would have also created a tension between our two countries that would last centuries. Instead we have teh animu and teh games!
-
Fuck it. Now I hate the bombing. :-\ A world without anime and other jappafaggotry would be a better place.
But there would be no Godzilla either. So torn..
-
More lives might have been lost had the U.S. not dropped the bombs, but still, that's a pretty painful way to die. :-\

Pretty instantaneous way to die.
Better than firebombing or gassing.

Well, yeah you're right if you're close enough. I was referring to the outer areas where people aren't killed but survive just enough to suffer.
-
Oh I dont disagree that it was a horrible way to go, but with the options available, it was the best option.

What does Thailand have to do with Hiroshima?

Not a damn thing, unless he thinks that Japan and Thailand are the same place.

hello kitty is japanese and therefore homojapual, it's pretty easy to put together.
