It's very much a show that barring some nudity cuts and a few sparse FUCKS could easily be on FX or something.

It gets better as it goes on.  And I was unaware that it was hyped.

It really hits its stride in the last third or so of season 1, and then it doesn't let down.

Speak of the devil! I just bought seasons one and two of Weeds on Blu Ray!

We marathoned all of season one and what's available of season two of Big Love while in Omaha (wife's parents have HBO and HBO OnDemand), and I felt the same way about it, as it could easily be on FX aside from a few shots of nudity.

Season 2 of Big Love (from what I saw) is OMG awesome, even in comparison to the great first season.

We watched up through last week's episode (the ending is OMG!!) while in Omaha, and we're gonna watch Monday's night episode tonight.

I've only seen the first 4 episodes.  I think they are up to 7 or 8 now, right?

I'm kind of waiting for the whole season to be over because I like to watch dramas in big long blocks.
