hmmmm... importing the GOTY 2007 to avoid waiting six months for an awful english dub... good stuff... give into your desire to play one of the best arcade sports games of all time... you CAN'T wait any longer... you KNOW you desperately need it NOW
I've JUST gotten the Internet at this new apartment and didn't care at all or really noticed that it was absent, because (along with visiting the neighborhood and the new uni's gorgeous campus), it was much more interesting to spend dozens of hours with HSG5. I can't even dare to think how many hours will be spent on this game until the beginning of the courses in early September. Will it be possible to complete the challenges along with Bioshock, Blue Dragon AND Persona 3?
God, this game is so beautiful and relaxing. The same gameplay as in the old PS1/PS2 games, but now with great next-gen graphics that truly make you feel like you're on vacation. OMG, the lighting! OMG, the traditional japanese golf course that's next to the sea looks HOT!
Best game of next-gen with VF5 + best reason to own a PS3 yet, HANDS DOWN

Who are these people reviewing it? jesus.

Maybe people who liked it? I don't really care, I'm not a fan of golf games.
I thought there were problems with the internet play, or was that fixed?

BILL BOB'S GEOCITIES GAME AND PORN STOP gave it 69/10

You know what my reward was for working at Sony temporarily? A fucking used copy of Hot Shots Golf 3 at 20% off. To hell with this game. :punch
-
Hot Shots <3
-
I liked the PSP Mingol a lot, it was the first game in the series I played too.
-
Hot Shots Golf is pretty fun, but no way is it GOTY material.
-
I like Hot Shots as much as the next guy, but why get so worked up about a casual game?

but why get so worked up about a casual game?
Because it's on PS3. PS3 is like gamecube last gen. If anything halfway decent comes out you hype it like mad due to it's limited library.
-
i want this game. anyone know if the menus are in english? i might have to import this, unless the US version is going to be released soon.

What? :lol
This franchise has a very high pedigree and a devoted fanbase. Be a fan of games, not an advocate of systems.

no, they're in japanese, but they're easy to figure out... there are translated menus available on the net

urgh, the color reproduction of this Easyshare is fucking crap, and turning the flash on just screws up the pic, but hey... playing Hot Shots Golf 5 on an HDTV is a soothing experience like no other

i played the original PSP import version, but the menus got irritating after a while. i may just wait. how long until it's released over here?

100/90/100/95
it's a good game and all that, but how can you give half a fugging game 100%?
Or is this going to get a Spinal Tap 110% once they add in half the shit that is supposed to be in ther but isn't?
Also ... it's basically the same game as the previous installation (MINUS the better online stuff, PLUS a stupid new control method)
Great game, GOTY on the PS3 probably, but 100/100 game? hmmm...
Japanese reviews are not really reliable, no? I remember hearing one of those 1up podcasts in which they discuss how Japanese reviewers often feel compelled to give out good reviews for games that are made by people they know. Their example was Blue Dragon. The reviewer actually thought the game was boring but still gave it a 8 or 9 because the magazine staff was friendly with the developer.
