It is absolute fact. There's no debating this point. I don't even know why I made the thread really. It should be in history textbooks. Right after the New Right or some shit.
Seriously. The game has the most varied, best sounding, highest quality, most interesting, most awesome, greatest, grandest, most fantastic, spectacular music ever in a game. The tracks are all different and unique, with superlative sampling and a unique cross section of featured instruments. It's so good that it makes me want to use words like scintillating and brio.
Nobody has ever come close to this. Not even Yamane in any of the other stuff she's ever done overall.
There are so many good tracks. I could list the good ones, but really, what would be the point of just copying and pasting the OST listing?
The only song I don't absolutely love is Final Toccata, and it's because it's overused and has a five minute lead in.

Shit thread - where are examples?

Like you don't know where you could download video game related MATERIALS, demi.
I can pick out some of my FAVS if you like. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER of course. Well maybe alphabetical once i look at the playlist lulz
Requiem for the Gods -- The song is heavily layered, with the choir and percussion working together to set up the absolutely awesome pipe organ intro at 1:24.
Marble Corridor -- Progressive, pushing. Has a distinct pizzicato texture to it.
Abandoned Pit -- foreboding, ominous.
Blood Relations -- awesome because it touches on those classic Castlevania notes that have been missing for almost the entire game, sans the awesome arrangement of Dance of Illusions.
Crystal Teardrops
Dance of Pales -- Really awesome composition here. Totally appropriate for the stage and just fucking awesome. Amazing string and piano synths.
Wandering Ghosts -- seriously, how many games have spanish guitar? Like none?
Dracula's Castle -- blood pumping, exciting, mysterious, awesome percussion, great crescendo and build up to the end of the song.
Enchanted Banquet -- the choral is scary as hell.
Festival of Servants -- electric guitar omg
Heavenly Doorway -- not sure what kind of string it is...a cello maybe. Deep, rich, flavorful.
Lost Painting -- maybe the best track on the album. Almost an interesting jazz/classical/new age synthesis piece.
Moonlight Nocturne -- awesome
Prayer -- So good they tried to make it work on the GBA. AND PULLED IT OFF.
Tragic Prince -- more awesome electric guitar and pulsing percussion in the background, sounds like some kind of xylophone at the same time. a new twist on goth girly vampire men to be sure. awesome contrapanal action with the guitars.
Wood Carving Partita -- Freaking harpsichords? Totally unique on the soundtrack and completely apropos. The string that comes in at the end is sweet and conclusive.

It's corny and it's relatively unmemorable.

Not even the best Castlevania soundtrack.
-
IT'S FACT!!!!
Though the SCIV soundtrack is great too, if that's what you're referring to.
-
It is one of the best soundtracks ever, that's a fact. But not THE best.
That of course goes to JET SET RADIO/FUTURE.

Wait, do you mean JS/GR? Cause there is no way the sequel qualifies.

I don't think licensed music should count!

Future has plenty of remixes from the original. It counts. If a game makes good use of licensed music, it should also count.

I got the soundtrack a few months ago, and was actually sorta surprised and disappointed that there weren't as many great themes, as I thought. I mean, there are some awesome stand out ones likes Dracula's Castle, and Bloody Tears, but most of the other ones are just okay. I think Castlevania 4 had a better overall soundtrack. Plus Simon's theme!! :bow
-
Bloody Tears isn't even in the OST. Maybe the Saturn version?
Nocturne in the Moonlight?
YOU LIAR

I may have messed up the title, then. My bad. :lol
Lemme look for it.
-
Okay, it says Prologue. Isn't that the same as Bloody Tears?
Edit: Okay, after listening to both themes, I don't know what the hell I was saying. Just ignore my previous posts pls. :lol

MGS? Srsly? No.

Same, SotN has a great soundtrack, but there are better ones out there.
