The first 40 minutes or so were slow and pointless, but once the second half starts, it's 100% gold. That diner dialogue scene is so fucking on, and the ending sequence is fucking insane. No CG there. And yes, Patel, the ending shot is AWESOME.

I made a thread already. But I didn't see the whole movie :-\

I loved the movie in theaters, I put it above Planet Terror, no doubt.

I felt the same way about the beginning, but I think I might appreciate it more on a second watch.

i loved the beginning because it makes the first group of girls so interesting and fun. Jungle Julia. <3

I'll try and check it out again tomorrow. I just didn't find the girls in the first half as interesting as the ones in the second, and when both halves are really focused on dialogue, not having interesting characters is really a killer. That and the first half has nothing to do with the second half, aside from introducing Kurt Russel. Actually, Rose McGowan is pretty good in the first half.

I just didn't get it. Maybe I should've gone into it anticipating awesome Tarantino dialogue, but after the fucking shitty beginning that had no purpose, I was on snooze. The ending sequence is great, yeah, and Russell is always gold. But even when Rosario's group comes into play I found myself bored.
Whereas with Planet Terror, I had a fucking awesome time and enjoyed myself completely.
I'll watch it again, but honestly, I just can't go from watching the huge clusterfuck of action that is Planet Terror to immediately staring at the screen for nearly an hour where absolutely NOTHING happens.
