lol wtf, its a fuckin console with the warantee of a washing machine. My first X360 was a champ, I used the hell out of it. Felt bad about using the replacement plan I had on it? No, cause it had already been worth it. Cant say the same for any other console out there. QQ more kids

I was thinking of getting a 360 tomorrow also!  We can race to see whose dies first!  BIOSHOCK

I guess I would also like to know when the 65nm models will be out.  If it's just a month or so, I would prefer to wait.

I did some research (on GAF lol) and the ZEPHYR models are the ones that can be found currently with HDMI and the dual heat sinks.  Supposedly there's a QC issue with the 65nm FALCON models and when we'll actually see them is anyone's guess.  They can be identified by the code name written on the multiple barcode sticker:

and the new packages will list "HDMI Port" under "Contents" on the box.

Cajole, do you have an HDTV?

...Another reason why I've been apprehensive.  :-\

you could always get the VGA adapter and hook it up to your monitor since it's HD ready.

Most PCs are 16:10 though and 360 still doesn't have a 16:10 resolution.  Also, most PC monitors can't scale 16:9 resolutions properly either, but there's not too much distortion when you stretch 16:9 to 16:10.

true, but at least it retains the aspect ratio.  all it does is add black bars to the side... much better than playing it on a shit 480i tv.

No  :( I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I've also wanted to build a new PC for a while. So much money.  :-\

It's definitely been a thought. It'd serve as the screen for my new desktop PC and 360.  8)

If your in a dorm and they give you a wired connection for your laptop then you can just connect to the internet with a ethernet cable.  if they use a wireless router then you need to buy a wireless adapter for the 360.

I've decided I'm going to buy a 360 as soon as I move back home.  Along with an HDTV.

That doesn't do east coasters any good, unfortunately.

I'm gonna hit up Best Buy later this week possibly and root through their stock until I find a zephyr model.

I bought from the Amazon sale.  so I got my premium for 320.  said I was going to pay with a check, so Im going to wait about 25 days and then I'm sending the check in.  By the time everything is processed, I should have my 360 and the old premium stock should be cleared.  Nice.
