Title: Indiana Jones and the fake title discussions

Lucasarts trademarked the following titles last week:

INDIANA JONES AND THE FOURTH CORNER OF THE EARTH
INDIANA JONES AND THE QUEST FOR THE COVENANT
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL
INDIANA JONES AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD
INDIANA JONES AND THE CITY OF GODS
INDIANA JONES AND THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS

"City of Gods" seems most likely to be "real," I think.

However, I am particularly fond of "Destroyer of Worlds" as it directly references Oppenheimer's quote at the Trinity test, "I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." Given the setting (1950s! Cold War!) I'd imagine that the nuclear threat will be front-and-center. I like the way that title combines the mythic (the Bhagavad Gita) and the scientific (A-bombs a-go-go).

Eh, I don't like any of them. It's a shame Spielberg is going to ruin such a classic series with another mediocre entry. I would have hoped that he'd have smartened up after watching Lucas butcher Star Wars with the prequels

Eh .. I think it will be like a lot of recent Spielburg stuff .. flashes of brilliance in an overall, uneven experience. Which is still better than 90% of the stuff that gets released.

Leonard Nimoy reads this quote in Civ4 when you discover Fission, I usually skip through most of the quotes but I always stop for this one just because of the mythic/scientific crossover. Then, of course, then it's time for EXTERMINATUS. So I hope it's that title for the Indiana Jones movie too.

Agreed.

I'm fond of Destroyer of Worlds as well.
