I like Tarantino a lot more than Rodriguez but Desperado is deserving of those bows. :bow
Desperado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico are the two best Leone rip-off's EVER.

this scene is so badass. :bow

Everything in that movie is badass. I like Mexico just a LITTLE bit more than Desperado, mainly due to Johnny Depp.
ARE YOU A MEXICAN OR A MEXICAN'T?

the only qt movie that i really love is jackie brown, the rest not that much. pulp fiction is awesome if you're 15.

Movie would've been a lot better if Tarantino directed it. That goddamn Caribbean song playing over and over...what the fuck was that? You can tell that Tarantino wrote it though.
-
First, Robert Rodriguez fucking sucks.
Second, True Romance is pretty good, but it would have been better if Tony Scott weren't such a dumbass and had kept the fucked-up chronology from Tarantino's script. This is probably Tarantino's best writing, as a lot of it is actually personal and comes from his own experiences instead of being ripped off from other movies.

I am going to watch Desperado. Hopefully it will be good. Bud/Cajoe have never been wrong :bow

+1. I love it, you can tell it's mostly a Tarantino joint, but it is missing that crucial Tarantino soundtrack. You get a similar vibe from certain parts of Natural Born Killers (though not nearly as often).

They played fucking Aerosmith in True Romance! AEROSMITH! Fuck that.
God, I was in love with Mrs. Arquette for YEARS after that movie.
-
True Romance is proof that no movie is better off for having Tony Scott direct it.
Still though, great casting, I love the bits with Gary Oldman (who doesn't?) and Tony Soprano still hasn't had a better part in film then in TR.

It is indeed rather ace. Not a classic or anything, but hey, its pretty dope. I've been waiting for RR to make the great action film I know he's got in him since then, I'm still waiting.

the music wasn't that bad though, yes, there could've been more variety. but, yeah, tarantino's soundtracks are always ace.

Well Wikipedia (lol wikipedia...etc) says that RR said just a couple months ago he wants to do an action film spin-off of his mexico trilogy starring Johnny Depp's character.

Yes, it's enjoyable to watch just because of how fucking cheap it cost (7k I think). But is it enjoyable as a action film like the second two? No.
