Title: I want to go home to play BIOSHOCK
Post by: TVC15 on August 21, 2007, 06:20:22 PM
:(  Longest day ever.  To make matters worse, I have some errands I have to run after work.  And I also need to hack my PSP and get some torrentz going.

I, too, wish to go home and play Bioshock. I came in early today so I could leave early, and also ran some necessary errands during lunch.

I just want to go home. Aside from the principal, I'm the only one here at work...

you know what's funny? when you work at a game company and people call in "sick" on days of big game releases.

one guy on another team took three days vacation!!

Joke's on him when he discovers how long the game is, I guess.

It's good to not have to work.  I ditch school today just to play Bioshock.  But I've wasted most of the morning trying to find the Limited Edition.  I give up.   I"m going to head off to circuit city to get a copy while I get a burger & fries as lunch/dinner.

Mine was always registered and all this bullcrap, so I made my new alias The Fake Shemp as an homage to the dearly departed Sam Raimi.

All of mine were taken too and they aren't even being used!  I just made "jim robobo" as an anagram of my former alias.

As if 2K wasn't taking enough flak from yesterday's widescreen debacle, now gamers who have spent their hard-earned cash on the PC version of BioShock are finding that they can only install the game twice, ever. The game uses SecuROM copy protection, which verifies the install of the game remotely, disabling further installs once the game has been installed twice. This means if you are the type of person like me who formats your computer frequently to to get rid of generic crap buildup, you are screwed. If you frequently shift around games to free up space, you are screwed. If you are a pirate...well, you'll probably come up with a work around, so at least the criminals are safe, right? Be gentle with the link below. Seems 2K's forums are getting slammed for some odd reason.

that is super distinguished mentally-challenged.  I've already installed my copy twice.  Once on the Xp partition and the 2nd on the Vista partition.  I always like to mess around with stuff like mods and tweaks for the config files which sometimes mess up the game enough that a reinstall is needed.  I'm sure you can just call them though if you have any problem since they probably don't want to alienate customers that actually pay for the PC version.

its only that you only register twice WITHOUT uninstalling, once you uninstall it, you get a register point back.
