Yup, got the LE today, cant wait to play it but I'm watching nova right now. Unfortunatly my big daddy's drill chpped at the end. :'(
On the flipside I'm gonna get a free artbook because of it :)
Been playing it on my PC, all maxed out, with DX10, and it is FUCKING GLORIOUS. Runs without a hitch, too. Runs very very nicely. I'm going to play the first portion of the 360 game to see if I can spot the differences DX10 makes.
There are no AA options in game, so I have to force AA via my videocard.

The general consensus is that those Big Daddy models are fucken cheap. Pieces are breaking off easily.
Going from 1680x1080 to SDTV is :(
Rented it, played it for a couple hours.....dunno if I will bother playing again though. Seems like Metroid without the fun gameplay or interesting environments.:S
Well, 1080p is a higher resolution than what I'm running at, too.
And no, actually, I tried playing with settings, but I can't force AA. It's not a big deal or anything, it's just you're marveling at how perfect everything looks. . .except for that jaggy there.

get these metroid ninfaggots out of this thread, and make them take their kiddy last-gen adventure with them
you're excited about metroid prime 3, the last-gen sequel to two of last-gen's worst games! THAT MAKES YOU A NINTHING.I just call them Nintendorks and be through with it. :-*
I'm trying to resist. I'm really into Oblivion and ShadowRun right now. I think I could wait for Bioshock, but next thing i'll know, Halo 3 will be released :(

Not buying Bioshock because you're playing Shadowrun is almost as dumb as not playing Bioshock so that you can play Luminous Arc.
Game is fuck awesome. Play it on hard for real challenge.
Yeah, it's much easier to just die and regen, but I have been trying not to die. I dunno why they made that decision to do those Vita Chambers.
Japafag.
I dunno why they made that decision to do those Vita Chambers.
There aren't even any tricky parts, just the Big Daddies, who are completely optional to do. Too hard? Move on, or save beforehand.
:lolYeah, it's much easier to just die and regen, but I have been trying not to die. I dunno why they made that decision to do those Vita Chambers.Agreed. If you abuse, er, Jeff Gerstmann the system, the game is gonna suck ass.
I agree with their decision regarding the chambers. They wanted to ensure that people wouldn't have to keep reloading and getting frustrated in the more tricky parts of the game. Thankfully, they DID provide a harder difficultly level to play at for people that wanted challenge despite that design decision, so it's really not a big deal IMO.

so basically, hard mode = die more? are there any other death consequences aside from starting with +1 health? i'm playing it on hard and it's not bad at all. but i did die twice already.
I'm playing on Medium and finding it to be about right. My money/stimpack/ammo cycle is fairly stable, and Big Daddies take some unloading and maybe a death or two to take down. I suck at FPSes, though. As far as I know alot of reviewers default to easy so they can knock out games quickly. This would be one where that would lead to a good number of complaints.
You can even change your difficulty mid-game so what's with all the complainin LOOOCEEEEY

the game to me is like one big nostalgia fest
my grandpa used to sing these songs to me when i was a kid...my eyes would well up with tears when i would hear some of them

Man, and I thought Eel switching over to Easy was gay.
I have an extremely limited amount of time to play games, and I'd rather not spend it playing the same sections over and over.
