Title: Final Fantasy IV DS is like a cheeseburger surprise

I love Final Fantasy IV so much. It's one of the defining game experiences of my life. As the saying goes, "the golden age of Science Fiction is 12"--well, it applies to JRPGs, too. I've played and replayed that game more than any other game, ever. I've abused the game systems into the ground, done speed-runs, replayed it on PSX and GBA and loved it each and every time.

So when I see art like this, I get all hot and bothered under the collar and think YES YES YES:

But then I see screenshots like THIS and DUDE LOOKS LIKE A LADY:

Look, the DS is great, and I seriously love lots of games for it, but it is not the platform for cinematic 3D RPGs.

Oh, what might have been. :'(

omg that looks so good.  i absolutely love FFIV.  cain is the MAN.

N64 graphics = fail :(

The art and CG renders are :hyper
The in-game 3D is  :-\

can't wait to see Zeromus in N64 glory, i can imagine just one giant blue pixellated blob and call it a day

god yes.  if only this was on 360 or ps3.  shit i'll even take wii or PSP at this point.

Oh well.  It looks better than III, so that's a positive.

I really just want a V remake.  :D

I have already come to terms with the DS shitty hardware, so this looks nice compared to the other DS stuff.

Im looking forward to this. I still think DQ9 blows it out of the water but that like comparing chicken shit to dog shit  :-\

Final Fantasy IV is my favorite game of all time, this makes me very happy.

I hope they release a line of trading figures like they did for FF III DS.
