PAGING SOLO

And btw, this movie was pretty crappy.  My mom liked it though, it was pretty good for cheap jumps and scares.

Abrader... jesus christ.

Rear Window is the movie Disturbia ripped from, btw. REAR FUCKING WINDOW. Probably my second favorite Hitchcock film.

That being said, Disturbia is decent on it's own, mainly because of LeBeouf. What makes the movie total shit is that it ripped off Alfred Hitchcock, and one of his best movies. And as good as LeBeouf is, he isn't JIMMY FUCKING STEWART.

Give me a break - its perfectly fine to think that Hitchcock's writings are weak.

I ALWAYS thought his stuff was soo watered down and lame...

Like I could totally see modern day crap like Goosebumps being based on his stuff too... all of his works felt like after-school specials to me.
Title: Re: So Disturbia WTFX?
Post by: Solo on August 24, 2007, 07:16:33 AM
Fuck you and anyone you care about or ever will care about. Rear Window is pretty much the best suspense movie ever made, and one of the best movies ever made period, bar none.

I havent watched Disturbia, as if I want to watch Rear Window, Ill do just that.

And "after school specials"? LOLZ. Something tells me you havent seen much Hitchcock. Feel free to tell me how many after school specials you've seen like Vertigo or Shadow of a Doubt.

Iv never seen Rear Window - so I have no comment (this threads about Disturbia, 1 hour and 44 minutes - thats all!)

Vertigo and Shadow of a Doubt are lame. I have seen most of his flix and much of the TV show as a kid. So fuck off, I dont like his stuff and you can stick that in a 2 litre bottle and force it up your ass.

Another cocksucker is Ray bradberry....

for fucks sake its like horror-suspense for rest-homes.

Birds - lame

Psycho - lame, and especially the homo seqs...

Actually I liked Psycho II and III(?) when I was a lad, but id never watch them again.

Wasnt one of them in 3D at the theatres?

You have won me over with your detailed deconstruction of why Hitchcocks movie are lame. You suck, Hitchcock!

Oh shit, Vertigo...lame?

 :lol

That's like Solo's favorite movie ever.

abrader you act like it's NORMAL to hate Hitchcock which is almost as odd as you hating hitchcock.
Title: Re: So Disturbia WTFX?
Post by: abrader on August 24, 2007, 10:04:49 AM
I dont think its normal or odd - its not behavior, its a preference...a person can like Hitchcock, or not like Hitchcock. 50/50.

Show me some google earth satallite photo with 98% of the earths population holding up "I <3 Hitchcock" signs and Ill think your "but everybody likes hitchcock" attitude is just.

I bet most people these days have never even heard of the guy.

Why do I not like his stuff? ITs non-interesting, boring and like watching episodes of the Mayberry show without Don Knotts.

Get over it.

abrader, you are awesome.

If by awesome you mean ignorant of film history and unable to enjoy anything referred to as suspense without lots of in-your-face action and/or blood and gore, then yes, yes I agree.

Rear Window is awesome. Awesome is Rear Window.

I'm not looking for blood and gore.

I want to see a movie that doesn't put me to sleep.

I think you most have good tastes, so I will indeed watch this "rear window" and comment accordingly.

I hope its good.

for now just forget the hate. I just don't like the guy -  that's ok.

While we are at it - I must know what you prefer - twilight zone or night gallery?

I bet most people these days have never even heard of the guy.

Most? It's not like he is some artsy type of unknown director from ages ago.

Rear Window and Psycho are to this day part of pop culture and are constantly played on cable.  Even the most stupid film goer likely can recognize Psycho.

Hitchcock movies were VERY mainstream and "blockbuster" (whatever could be considered blockbuster pre-jaws) money makers. And most of his films were blockbusters based on his name alone.
