Its F-Zero GX
agree with me or post your own 'opinion'
-
The Burnout games have been my favorite for the past few years.
-
F-Zero GX by far.
This game fucking kicks ass.
-
F-Zero GX is indeed fucking awesome. It's a toss-up between F-Zero X and GX, really. I'm also a HUGE Burnout fan.

Yeah, I would have to agree, because I fucking love X as well.
-
Wip3out
-
if you just mean racing and not driving then probably f-zero gx.
-
Wip3out
that would be my 2nd place
-
OutRun 2
-
Outrun 2 or Wip3out
-
DAYTONA USA (Arcade)
-
Super Mario Kart
-
DAYTONA USA (Arcade)
Daytona USA 2 for me.
Althought Midnight Club LA might finally dethrone that... :-*
-
aside: wip3out is so much better than XL, soundtrack not withstanding (and it has a decent soundtrack, anyhow)
why can't people recognize this
-
Wip3out for me. I haven't played F-Zero on the cube yet. Everytime I pick it up, I can't bring myself to buy it.
-
sega rally. the first one. there's a great ps2 port that came with that awful sega rally 2006 thing.
i wonder if that new sega rally will be any good
-
I don't remember if this was the right title or not, but Mickey Thompson's Offroad (the first one)
-
rallisport challenge 2, followed by mobil 1 rally, outrun 2006 C2C and wipeout pure
f-zero gx -- wtf? that game is ribbony shite. pretty, but it's utterly without nuance. snaking is the stupidest "technique" in a game ever.
-
F-Zero GX.
And I agree snaking makes the game unfun to play, so I don't bother.
-
I probably have the most fun with Wip3out.
I do really liek F-Zero GX though.
-
I'll be a total heathen and say NASCAR Season 2003-last of the Papyrus NASCAR games, and easily the best.
-
I like the Nascar game that lets you unlock the paintball code. That rocks.
-
Wasn't snaking in GX like super hard? Anyway, I love that game.

Fuck I would like to get my hands on this but it's 200$ now. :(
It's dumb that they don't have this for sale on something like Steam. It would be worthless on a locked service like GameTap, but they'd be able to move more than a few copies with a Steam release. I'd buy one just to save the trouble of digging out the disc.
Also, they closed the multiplayer lobby last week. :( There are alternatives, but it's just depressing to know that a game with no real IMO multiplayer equal wound up mothballed like this when it had some real life left in it.

RSC2
-
Outrun 2, Daytona USA (arcade), and Burnout 2
-
Jet Moto, bitches!
If not that, then probably F-zero GX.
-
RSC2, Mobil 1 Rally, N64 waverace
It's funny how so few people are picking Gran Turismo even though it's often called the best racing series.

I think the general evilbore concensus is: arcade racers >>>>>>>>> racing simulators
:bow

Ooh, thanks. Forgot about Waverace.
-
Sim: Forza 2
Arcade: F-Zero GX
-

I beat the game (well, not the staff ghosts) without snaking.
-
i really liked RR6. i'm going with RR6.
-
Gran Turismo 3 is my favorite racing game although I did very little racing in it. It was more relaxed driving around a track which is what I like about it. Kick back, drive a good line, collect money. Before that game came out I played Test Drive Le Mans on the DC a lot. I actually completed a 24 hour Le Mans run. I'd do an hour or two at a time while listening to music. And aside from earlier GT games my obsession before that was Waverace 64.
-
oh yeah, i forgot Test Drive Unlimited. Incredible fucking game.
-
Outrun 2006 C2C is probably my favourite racer right now though. Its sooooo damn good, lots of options and modes of play. the only thing its missing is 2 player split screen. And the soundtrack is amazing. Risky Ride :bow
-
The original Moto Racer on PC or Ridge Racer 4 on PSOne
-

that's an exploit in the game. if you don't suck BALLS then you can easily beat the whole game without learning it, I did.

that's an arcade racer.

The original Moto Racer on PC or Ridge Racer 4 on PSOne
1st rational comment you've made since coming back. Moto Racer was awesome. Sadly EA bought and killed it because they couldn't compete w/ it.
-
how do you 'snake' in F-Zero GX? Ive heard of it but what does it actually involve?

in the physics system, the game adds force in a certain way when you strafe with the triggers so if you time pressing the left and right trigger in sequence over and over again, you can like double your speed.
-
Moto Racer is so underrated, I don't think I've ever seen it in any top game charts, but all in all it's probably the racing game that was the most entertaining to play ever in my case, it just had such an awesome sense of speed and wild track design with countless spectacular jumps
Moto Racer 2 IIRC was decent, although it didn't leave an impression as big on me
for Moto Racer 3 I think that Delphine strayed a little too far away from the game's arcade roots, and I never tried it anyway because back in the days it was the first game to use a funky copy-protection system that messed with your PC (Tagès)
I'd love to retry the original but it's probably too hard to stare at these things nowadays, especially after having just tried MotoGP 07 on Xbox 360, and there's also the possibility that the 3D portion is Glide-only
-
I remember quite enjoying Moto Racer 1 on PS1, V-Rally and Colin MacRae Rally were good too. DiRT is made by codemasters is it not? I might check it out when I get a 360
-
I beat most of the game without snaking, but I never bothered to learn how to snake because it seemed too complicated. I just loved the exhilaration of boosting the hell out of your car and hoping you don't touch anything because one tiny bump would kill you at that point. :lol
