Title: application etiquette
Post by: xnikki118x on August 27, 2007, 04:14:00 AM: Tomorrow before my classes, I'm going to another local college to apply for a food service position there. I have my application, resume, and letter of interest as requested per their website, and I'll be handing it all in to the Human Resources department.

Since I was planning on going straight to my school afterward, I was going to wear jeans, sneakers, and a tank. Is this a bad idea? I doubt I'd get interviewed on the spot being that it's the first day of a new semester, but I don't know.

Also, unless it's a manager position, I don't think they'll expect you to be dressed any more formally than that anyway.

Um, demi... I'm talking about A JOB IN THE FOOD SERVICE INDUSTRY. Not retail. If she said she was applying for a gig at JcPennys, my response would have been different!

I'm sure you're a shithead to anyone interviewing you, based on your e-persona. I'm sure that says a lot more about you than the Sega shirt you wore.
