Did my usual cleaning through the 360 memory system management menu and there's currently 7 gigs lost in the ether. Is it possible I need stronger ether?
-
do you have 13-14 GB? that's how much you should have, it uses a portion for game cache.
-
I still have the fucking ff11 beta on it :'( :'( :'(
-
Yeah i'd have that much with my xbla arcade games and a few game folders deleted. So 7 gigs is set aside for game caching?
-
yup.
-
Well at least you can delete everything, no disappearing hd space woot.
-
Sell your Xbox because of that lost hard disc data bullshit. That would never happen on the PS3 since you can upgrade your hard disc.

:'( :'( :'( you mock my plight good sir!
-
Smooth: I dunno, apparently I havent lost any data lol.
-
See your 360 because you can't upgrade its HD!
-
Why would I want to? I dont do videos or download many things period. arcade games take up a small fraction of the space I need. I stream all music and some video from my vista machine, and I have a small computer hooked up to the tv for the video formats I cant stream and web browsing.
lol new HD lol

My brain was temporarily influenced by another member. The stupidity of his posts was so hard to bear that I had to cope by imitating him for awhile. I think I'm okay now.

I thought PS3 took up 5-6 GB for game cache? Sony would probably implement that since it needs an HD to run.
saw new post, what member?

there are useless HD videos and trailers which are included by default with every 360, you can delete them
-
I wish I could delete the useless Mondain which was included by default with this forum.
LOL GET IT

Even on the older 360s? I don't remember having videos on my 360 HD. I've got to give Sony credit for having much better HD videos than MS. Demos are an entirely different matter though.
-
there is stuff like some Titanic documentary, and some greetings video featuring J. Allard and other members of the 360 team, among others; if you want free HDD space then these can all be discarded
-
I can basically free up about 6-7 gigs by deleting everything on my 360, except for saved games and the half dozen arcade games I play regularly. I have no fucking idea where the "missing space" goes.
-
Im not missing any space, I dunno whats up with u guyz!
