Title: No "What did you buy" thread for today?
Post by: tiesto on August 29, 2007, 10:33:32 PM
Big day for releases, games-wise at least... I had to go to 3 different stores to pick up a copy of BD, I hear MS didn't really send a lot of copies out to stores. Here's what I bought:

I'll go to Akihabara this weekend to see if they got in copies of WA5, Persona 3, or Jeanne D'Arc.  I may be screwed on Persona 3, though...they may not have brought in any copies from the States.

Why go to Aki, Ichirou?  The prices are way too high on most import games.  Play-Asia is better.

Started saving 50000 yen every month.  Put it into a different account, THEN I can go nuts buying meaningless crap guilt-free!

Order some shit from with UPS or Fedex shipping.  You'll get it in like two days.

Two days is not instant.  And if I'm not home when they deliver, then I have to call back and arrange for them to return the next day.

You can't go to Aki everyday, right?  It's the same thing....pre-order the stuff ahead of time and it won't feel like a wait at all!   :)

I don't have packages sent to my house.  I have them sent to my school where someone is always there to sign for it.

We put $1,500 to $2,000 into savings each month. Once we start paying out mortgage, it'll be about $800 to $1,000 each month.

Oh yeah, it's a great little recliner, and will fit perfectly in our living room with the couch. It's so comfortable, I almost fell asleep in the one at Macy's tonight.

I need to move before I can think new furniture. Probably just giving away 90% of my furniture when I end up moving to begin anew.

1 bedroom apartments dont hold much, so I dont own a lot

I'm not looking forward to buying furniture when I move.  It's so difficult - furniture basically decides a room's entire atmosphere.

its easier to give furniture away than move it lolol

The house we bought has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den/office, dining room, living room, kitchen and a full basement, so we've got a lot of rooms to fill. The only thing we still need to buy is a dining room table and chairs (there's $1200-$1500), rugs (house is all brand hew hard wood floors), and blinds. It could be worse, but I can't believe how much blinds cost!

We've got an old couch down in the den that we're going to give away when we move to our house in September. We'll just put a notice on Craigslist that it's free, and leave it sitting in the driveway for someone to take.

Yeah but I collect that shit... RPG guides usually go up in value quite a bit.
