It's coming out stateside as Monkey King: The Legend Begins. The date is probably placeholder but it's November 1st. There's heavy rumors of that Kai Kai World game being released on Wii and being published in the US by UFO interactive.

Woah, nice to see that the Wii is so successful in the US that garage third parties are even bringing obscure japanese games to North American shores that would have probably never landed here otherwise.

no, because it has waggle controls. if they'd stuck with a d-pad and a fire button, i'd probably pick it up -- four years from now, when i get a wii for $40 sans wii sports!

(this happened with LAIR too, Corny, so it's not just anti-Wii sentiment)

I heard about this, the kikikaikai PS2 version was canceled and ported to Wii for some unknown reasons

Alright, the waggle in the monkey king game is kinda silly, but looks like the Wii is gonna become the platform of choice for shooter devs. I had a feeling that would happen.
