it looks pretty good and fun. the lighting is awesome.
30fps lol
-
30 fps never mattered for a arcade racer. I certainly never felt like it was needed in a game like GT.
-
Ill take 30 fps from ANY game if its FUCKING STEADY AT 30. I dont want "60" if its gonna rubberband between 30 and 60. And I dont want you to claim its 30 fps if its rubberbanding between 15-30. Gimme rock solid you fuckers.

Got it pre-ordered and have full faith it will deliver.
To me MSR/PGR >>>> Forza
-
Im just too goddamned weaksauce for forza, and I dont like street racers anyway.
-
Forza with driving aids and automatic transmission doesn't handle that differently than PGR, imo. You just have to control it more realistically through the corners.
I'm not a fan of PGR. But I might rent this.
-
I tried really hard to like PGR3 but ended up hating it. I just wanted to drive, not do distinguished mentally-challenged cone challenges. I ended up playing RR6 instead. I have Forza 2 but haven't spent much time with it.

I found Forza to be much harder than PGR, even with the driving lines turned on. At high speeds, Forza does feel significantly faster than PGR because of the 60fps.

GT3&4 didn't feel like 60fps the whole time even though that's what they claimed. When I mention this, they would always say "How could you doubt Polyphony Digital?" Then I'll remind them of how GT1&2 were slideshows.

First, I love both the PGR and Forza series. But what I really want is a hybrid featuring Forza's awesome driving model, massive car selection and depth of customization along with PGR's incredible environments, sense of style/fun and Kudos-based challenges. I find it hard to play PGR3 after Forza because the handling doesn't convince, but I've pretty much given up on Forza because I know every inch of every track from having done them hundreds of times. Bah.
And to get on topic for a picosecond, the video was awesome. Can't wait for a direct feed. Is that Prodigy track available outside the game?

I'm going to skip on this game. I'm still slogging through Forza 2, I want to get Sega Rally Revo, and those two should tide me over until Midnight Club LA hits...
