Even though I didn't like ACE1, I'm gonna buy ACE3 (and will probably pick up ACE2 sometime before that). Why? Well, I was at Yodobashi Camera the other day and they were playing video footage of the game on their HDTV setup and there was one cinematic that blew my mind.
Picture this: The end of Char's Counterattack. Amuro Ray, piloting the Nu Gundam, has destroyed Char Aznable's Sazabi, but has failed to stop the Axis colony asteroid from falling towards the Earth, which will destroy all human life on the planet. In a desperate attempt to steer the gigantic asteroid away from the Earth, Amuro uses his Nu Gundam to try to push it back. The psycho frame in his mobile suit resonates with his Newtype abilities and his strong desire to save humankind, and suddenly all the combatant mobile suits on the battlefield, both Federation and Zeon, rush to help him push the asteroid back.

From Software has officially made me a giddy fanboy, and I will buy this game on DAY ONE.

The ACE series is probably the greatest thing ever devised by humanity. If you can't enjoy it, you don't enjoy living.
I placed a preorder for this with Pink Godzilla a while back, hopefully they get it in sometime this week.

Heard ACE 1 was lame since it confined you to arena battles, and that ACE 2 fixed this and was just awesome. But ACE 2 has remained high-priced since day one, so I haven't tried it yet. Might give this game a try later on...

Well, there's a cheap reissue coming soon, with OP theme songs added. 3980, I think.

So, ACE3 is supposed to be out in Japan now. Anyone pick it up?
I managed to snag a first pressing copy with the art book and postcards, should be here early next week. I'm stoked!!!

Since I'm at work during the day, the mail dude wouldn't leave my copy of ACE 3 in the mail box. :'(
I'll have to race home tomorrow and pick it up from the Carrier Annex before they close at 4pm.
ACE 3 is just sitting in a warehouse less than a mile from my house, waiting to be played... :'(
