they're doing caption contests in there, with prizes. modus and ghaleon eb are behaving like smarmy mcs at a smalltime corporate function. and i suppose they are 'xbox mvps' -- i don't think that involves compensation, but they're flown out to events and things. they must feel a certain pressure to demonstrate their 'value' as xbox fans. creepy.

It was a weird turn around. I can't put my finger on the point but he did a complete 360 with how he reacted to opinions on GAF. Would be hilarious if Community Team leader manager or something told him to tone it down.

Isn't it kinda dumb of any game company to pay virals to post on GAF? The same 5000 people read GAF every day. What's selling a couple more hundred systems going to do in the big picture? Judging from the sucess of the WII, it's pretty obvious that gaming forum opnion means shit in the gaming market.

it's still kind of dodgy that microsoft is coopting internet fanboys as marketing tools -- and i kind of wonder where these prizes are coming from. i also wonder if things like caption contests weren't suggested by some xbox mvp handbook

Buy Vista too. And make sure you get the Ultimate version. Once you have a videoclip as a wallpaper, you can't go back to pictures. Aero glass is also another indispensable feature. As great as Windows XP was, I feel like I'm using some crappy MAC OS whenever I go back to it.

Buy Office 2007 too. Its new interface might seeem a bit overwhelming for new users but everything is so much more intuitive and efficient than the old Office once you get used to it.
