Title: 3:10 to Yuma vs Shoot Em Up
Post by: Himu on September 07, 2007, 05:43:26 PM
which are you gonna see?

Shoot Em Up looks like it could be this years Crank; mindless action film that's just fun to watch. 3:10 to Yuma...I read some reviews that said it was the best western since Unforgiven. Looks good.

Both are DVD rentals for me. Yuma looks good, and Shoot Em Up looks ok but 300 gave me my fill of mindless action for 2007.

Only movie I'm gonna see in the theater the rest of this year is American Gangster.

I'm supposed to go see Yuma tonight.  I've been itching for a good, new western and, by most accounts, this should satisfy.

shoot 'em up: non-stop action + monica bellucci + non-stop action = the type of movie i'd like to watch in theaters.
yuma: awesome western + crow and bale = the type of movie i'd rather watch at home. alone.

i like watching westerns in general alone.

Shoot 'Em Up looks like a fun action spoof with a stellar cast, but unless I hear a credible opinion otherwise, a rental will suffice.

well, atleast they aren't being pretentious or anything. the title basically says it like it is--90 (?) mins of shooting.

I shall see both.  Shoot Em Up is basically a comedy, and Yuma will most likely be an award winning movie.

well yuma doesn't look particularly interesting and shoot-em-up looks boring so I'll probably just go with balls of fury because there's a 50% chance it could be really good or bad.  the brothers soloman looks pretty funny too.

^that is actually pretty hot.

and Cjuice, I watched spiderman 3, die hard 4, rush hour 3, and 28 months later this summer. do you think I'll watch ANYTHING because of hype?

If one of the two movies this thread is about gets said by everybody to be one of the best movies ever I'll consider watching it.

Maybe 3:10 to Yuma tomorrow night at the Neptune.

Tonight we're seeing 2 Days in Paris at the Harvard Exit.

Seeing Yuma later this weekend but got back from Shoot 'Em Up.

It's pure fluff entertainment obviously. VERY entertaing but I doubt I will wanna ever see it again but still it was worth going to see in a theater.

And come on it has Bellucci giving a guy a blow job, what is not to love?

3:10 To Yuma was excellent. The threater was packed with ederly people and thus the smell of urine and moth balls permeated the air, which obviously detracted from the movie, but only slightyly. It was sad to see the theater so empty.

Old people LOOOOVE westerns. It's a mystery of life but if you are over 70 you fucking love westerns.

Actually saw Shoot 'Em Up instead of Yuma...it was pretty awesome. An 80s action movie, replete with the ridiculously over-the-top action and the corny one-liners. And Monica Bellucci showing close to everything. God, her tits are incredible.

She was butt-nekkid in Malena, btw, but you need to watch the overseas version, they cut out all her nude scenes from the US version iirc.

She is a goddess. I can't believe she is only 3 fucking years younger than my mom.

I've had friends who tell me she is.  :-\

But still, how the hell Bellucci looks like that while nearing her mid-40's is amazing.

I bet your dad doesn't appreciate her, though.  Is she what's known as a "cougar"?
