Title: Is this a good laptop?

I'm wondering how decent this laptop would run (can't find that many benchmarks for these parts).

It's a compaq presario v2000 and the specs are:

*CPU is Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3000+ 1.8 GHz
*382 MB RAM
*GPU is ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
*Sound card is Conexant AMC Audio
*The hard drive has about 37 GB.

that gpu (and cpu) is utter shit, its what this laptop has

seriously those specs are outdated in this day and age...

celeron < pentium
sempron < athlon


as for gaming on that, I can play tribes veangeance pretty well

half life 2 on medium settings and a low resolution
battlefield 2 on low

and I have a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ in this

Im buying a new laptop because I need more multitasking powa


EDIT: yeah that laptop would be ok for web browsing, but dont expect a powerhouse.

Anything is good for free.

but yeah, it's not good for anything other than playing movies, downloading emulators and doing word processing.

I'm fine if I can run old games at lowest settings.  For some reason it doesn't look that big of an improvement when you turn up settings in PC games (I am not a PC gamer, do not bash me for this).  What should I put on it?  I have a bootleg of HL2 that I'll try on it.  I have firefox, utorrent, and it has virusblockers.
