Title: Republic Commando(XBOX) - Its better than Two Worlds

....and then some.

I just broke the wrap on this tonight and I am pleasantly suprised. While its not as tight as the Clancy squaders, or SOCOM, its very fun. I love the style of it, the scripted encounters (some of it feels EDF'ish) and the distorted radio voices.

The game runs ok - it only feels unpolished when it saves your game at checkpoints, and a few other slowdown filledd minutes....

The stages are the quick skirmishes thru smaller sized areas in the beginning and it makes it easy to want to keep playing more.

I havent tried online yet - is thre a co-op mode?

A posible slant for me is that I have not watched any of the SW EP I - III movies - so I am experiencing all of the Clone Wars action thru the eyes of the XBOX SW games KOTOR 1-2, BattleFront and this FPS game. I feel its a better experience than the movies.

Republic commando feels like a sizable chunk of the EP I - III story played as a clone - is that about right?

I have it for PC its a lot of fun, but seeing it high res n shit made it look so dated haha. Its pretty fun tho.

something very satisfying about blasting droids to pieces...

I loved playing as the heavy duty gun droid in Battlefront, and then fighting those things in Republic commando as a clone...in republic commando it feels like yer fighting a Resident Evil Tyrant.

I love this game, but I ran into a game breaking bug that prevented me from beating it. I never bothered to restart the game.

Republic Commando was a very fun game, I really liked the characterization and witty banter between you and your 3 squadmates. If it weren't for two flaws it would be one of my favorite Star Wars games.

1. It is too short
